Tips and Techniques for a Relaxing Foot Massage.

A foot massage is one of the best ways to promote one’s well-being by reducing stress and relieving aching legs. A foot massage is the best gift you can give to your loved ones with sore legs or those needing relaxation after a stressful day. Offering a foot massage is relatively easy. Determine the parts of the feet to massage and how much pressure to apply.
Here are some guidelines on how to offer a great massage
A good foot massage will also give you a night of better sleep and also play a hand in improving your sex life. Follow this simple step to make sure you get the foot massage right.

Soak your legs in warm water, added with minerals for 5-10 minutes.

Soaking the legs in the water helps in warming and cleaning your feet. An added advantage to this is easing pain relief and muscle relaxation. Add some essential oil to the warm water for the desired aromatherapy.
Increase the foot blood flow.
After drying your partner or client’s foot, place a pillow with a soft towel on your lap and place one foot at a time on the pillow. For each foot, use one of your hands to hold the leg by the heel as the other hand gently rotates the foot in a clockwise and counterclockwise motion. Repeat each motion three times, then do the same to each toe. This process boosts blood circulation through the toes and ankles.

Use arch pressure to melt tension.

Apply some foot cream or massage oil on your thumb, then place each thumb on the center of the foot arch. Use light pressure while rubbing your thumbs in small circles of clockwise and counterclockwise motion for at most 1 minute. Later, with each thumb starting at the opposite end of the foot and slowly moving to each other, add more lotions to your hands now, and use more pressure. The thumb movement will be done for several minutes for the best result.
Apply some tender toe techniques.
Give each toe a gentle squeeze with your thumb and index finger. Then use the thumb to make clockwise and counterclockwise circles beneath each toe for 15 seconds.

Sooth the sole

With one thumb moving clockwise and the other counterclockwise, for several minutes, make small circles starting at the ball of the foot, up and down the length of the sole, adding pressure as you near the heel.

Finish

Gently squeeze the hollow area below the ankle for several seconds using your forefinger or thumb. Alternatively, you can use your fingers to gently rub the Achilles tendon or opt to rub both for a more pleasurable foot massage.

A foot massage is the best gift you can offer to your partner or client to make sure you have pampered them well, and you can create a super relaxing atmosphere for a more fantastic massage.
