Fallow deer, dunes and lagoon wolves

Sunday 19 November at 14.30 pm
Forest Reserve "Duna Feniglia" - headquarters of Carabinieri Nucleus Biodiversity Protection (entrance on the side of Port Hercules)
Coordinates: 42.413576 N, 11.214639 E

Is the wolf really dangerous? Will all animals in the Feniglia disappear?
The answer to both questions is NO! and the Medwolf project staff will explain why.

The program of the day includes a ring-shaped excursion in the nature reserve together with Environmental Hiking Guides, expert wildlife technicians (who have followed the wolf monitoring within the Medwolf project) and of course with the staff of the Carabinieri Forestali, managers of the reserve. At the end of the excursion, we will go back to the CC Bioversity Centre (side Porto Ercole) where you can ask questions. For the occasion, the Medwolf exhibition will be staged: a series of panels to get to know the wolf, its characteristics, its social organization, its distribution in Europe and the management of the coexistence of this species, protected by national and European regulations, with human activities, in particular, agricultural activities.
